LiveSwitch is committed to maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality, and security of personally identifiable information (“Information” or "Personal Information" whether capitalized or not). As part of this commitment, our Privacy Policy governs our actions as they relate to the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information.  LiveSwitch’s Acceptable Use Policy or Terms and Conditions are incorporated herein by reference.

Identifying Purposes: Data We Process and Why

We collect, use or disclose Personal Information to provide the Customer experience of a superior product or service. For instance, as a business, we cannot provide a product or service without basic information such as name, address and payment information. To the degree possible, no information is collected that does not achieve our Mission.

LiveSwitch technologies are intended to benefit the Customer.  LiveSwitch will use all of the information it derives to help the Company improve Products and support LiveSwitch services. In brief, the purpose includes but is not limited to the following:

  • To provide, improve, or develop Products or Services.
  • To provide shortcuts or suggestions to Customers such as but not limited to tagging, time, date, location.
  • To test features in development, to analyze the information required to evaluate and improve Products and Services, to develop new Products or Features, or to conduct audits or troubleshoot activities (bug discovery, e.g.).
  • To communicate with a Customer.
  • To send marketing communications, communicate with Customers about our Products or Services and let Customers know about our policies and terms. 
  • To respond to Customers when Customers contact us.
  • To promote safety and security of accounts, to verify activity, to investigate suspicious activity or violations of Terms and Conditions/Acceptable Use/Privacy.
  • In the use of cookies.

Information a Customer provides may be shared including but not limited to situations as follows:

  • Sharing on our Products or Services.
    • People use our Products or Services to connect and share with others. This is possible by different means, including but not limited to, a Customer’s sharing information in the following ways:
      • People a Customer shares and communicates with.
      • Public information, meaning any information a Customer shares with a public audience, as well as information in a public profile, or content a Customer shares in a public forum. 
      • Public information that is available to anyone on or off LiveSwitch’s Products or Services and can be seen or accessed through online search engines, APIs, and offline media, such as on TV.
      • Cases where people a Customer shares and communicates with may download or re-share content with others on and off LiveSwitch’s Services. 
      • Cases where it is possible for a Customer or other third party to comment on a post or content.
      • Cases where a Customer’s audience is public.
    • People that see content a Customer shares or others share about a Customer.
  • Apps, websites and third-party integrations on or using LiveSwitch Products or Services.
    • When a Customer uses third-party apps, websites or other services that use, or are integrated with, LiveSwitch’s Services, third parties may receive information about what is recorded, posted, or otherwise published or shared. 
    • Information collected by these apps, websites or integrated services is subject to the destination’s terms and policies.
  • Sharing with other LiveSwitch-owned companies.
    • LiveSwitch may share information about a Customer with or within one or more companies that are part of LiveSwitch.
  • New owner.
    • If Customer ownership or control of all or part of LiveSwitch’s Products or Services or a Customer’s assets changes, LiveSwitch may transfer a Customer’s information to the new owner.
  • Sharing With Third-Party Partners and Customers.
    • Where LiveSwitch works with third party companies who help LiveSwitch provide or improve its Products or Services, information may be shared. Types of third parties include, but are not limited to:
      • Measurement and Analytics Services (Non-Personally Identifiable Information Only).
    • Vendors, service providers and other partners.

Consent

By accessing LiveSwitch, consent to use Personal Information is granted. We respect that consent.

Limiting Collection

As part of our Mission, the information collected and used will be limited to those necessary to achieve our Mission. Information may come by various means: from users of our technology, third parties, resellers, or otherwise. In each case, the acquisition of information is based on our Mission in compliance with the law.

Types of Information LiveSwitch Collects

 

The type of information LiveSwitch may collect will depend on the Product or Service a Customer uses. This includes but is not limited to:

  • General information such as:
    • First name.
    • Last name.
    • Phone number to deliver meeting links via SMS (text message).
    • Email.
    • Company name.
    • Recordings connected to an associated phone number.
    • Snapshots taken either during a call or from a recording playback.
    • Device ID to differentiate anonymous users in the system.
  • Things the Customer does and information the Customer provides.
    • LiveSwitch collects the content and other information provided when using LiveSwitch’s Services, including when signing up for an account, creating or sharing, messaging, or communicating with others. 
    • This may include information in or about the content a Customer provides, such as the location of a photo or the date a file was created. 
    • LiveSwitch also collects information about how a Customer uses its Services, such as the types of content viewed or engaged with or the frequency and duration of a Customer’s activities.
  • Things others do and information they provide.
    • LiveSwitch may collect content and information that other people provide when they use LiveSwitch’s or a LiveSwitch Customer’s Services, including information about a Customer, such as when audio/visual information is shared, when a message or other communication may be sent to a Customer when information is uploaded, synced, imported or otherwise accessed.
  • Customer networks and connections.
    • LiveSwitch may collect information about the people or groups, or type of people or groups, a Customer is connected to and how a Customer interacts with them, such as the people a Customer communicates with the most or the types of groups a Customer services or shares information with. 
    • LiveSwitch may collect contact information a Customer provides if, for example, a Customer uploads, syncs, or imports this information (such as an address book) from a device.
  • Information about payments.
    • If a Customer uses services for purchases or financial transactions (such as when a Customer or other third party purchases something and it involves LiveSwitch’s platform in any fashion), LiveSwitch may collect information about the purchase or transaction, including but not limited to payment information, such as credit or debit card number or other card information, other account and authentication information, billing, shipping or other contact details.
  • Device information.
    • LiveSwitch may collect information from or about the computers, phones, or other devices with which LiveSwitch’s software comes in contact or where a Customer installs or accesses LiveSwitch’s Services, depending on permissions a Customer grants or is otherwise permissible by law or regulation. 
    • LiveSwitch may associate the information it collects from a Customer’s different devices.
    • Sample information includes but is not limited to:
      • Attributes such as the operating system, hardware version, device settings, file and software names and types, battery and signal strength, and device identifiers.
      • Device locations, including specific geographic locations, such as through GPS, Bluetooth, or WiFi signals.
      • Connection information such as the name of your mobile operator or ISP, browser type, language and time zone, mobile phone number, and IP address.
  • Information from websites and apps that use our Services.
    • LiveSwitch may collect information when a Customer visits or uses third-party websites and apps that use or access or are necessary to our Products or Services (such as when they require login or use measurement or other services), including but not limited to information about the websites and apps a Customer uses or visits, a Customer’s use of our Products or Services on those websites and apps, as well as information the developer or publisher of the app or website provides to a Customer or LiveSwitch.

Other Use of Information

Information may only be used in pursuit of our Mission. This includes what is required or permitted by law. Personal Information will only be retained for the period of time required to fulfill the purpose for which we collected it or as may be required by law.

Accuracy

Information accuracy facilitates LiveSwitch’s customer-based Mission. LiveSwitch endeavors to use only accurate, complete, and up-to-date information on behalf of the intended purpose.

Safeguarding Customer Information

Information will be protected by security safeguards. LiveSwitch takes serious precautions to protect Information from any loss, unauthorized use, access or disclosure.

Openness

As LiveSwitch products and services are improved, this Policy must be updated. We will make ongoing updates to LiveSwitch’s Privacy Policy. Customers are responsible for reading updates.

Information Access

Customers are permitted to access Information in circumstances permitted by law. LiveSwitch honors requests under the law just as it complies with restrictions governed by law.

Handling Customer Complaints and Suggestions

Cookies

A cookie is a small computer file or piece of information that may be stored in your computer’s hard drive when you visit our websites. We may use cookies to improve our website’s functionality and in some cases, to provide visitors with a customized online experience. Cookies are widely used and most web browsers are configured initially to accept cookies automatically. LiveSwitch’s practice of using cookies is always guided by its Mission. If a Customer disables cookies LiveSwitch deems critical, the experience or optimal performance may be compromised.

Deletion of Information

A Customer may request information at any time.  A Customer may deactivate an account at any time. While LiveSwitch stores data for as long as necessary to provide products and services to Customers or others, including those stated herein, information associated with a Customer will be kept until the account is deleted or is no longer the data required to provide products or services. To deactivate or delete an account, a Customer can make such a request by emailing support@liveswitch.com.
